Here is a great use for those empty MyCause Water bottles! Use them to save clean water in your home. Most toilets will flush perfectly well with less water than the tank holds. So if you displace some of that water, you can reduce the amount of water you use in your home each day. In fact, you can save about half a gallon of water with each flush. For the average home, that can add up to ten gallons a day!
There is an old adage about putting a brick in your toilet tank, but the brick can break down and cause damage to your plumbing. Use an empty MyCause Water bottle instead. Fill it with some sand or small rocks, then fill it with water. Put the bottle in your toilet tank, just be sure not to interrupt any of the moving parts. You may have to adjust the size and weight of your bottle, depending on your toilet.
This is a great way to reduce the amount of water you are using in your home. Stay tuned for more helpful tips!
